I Have Been to THE Appointment — 8 Comments

  1. That so nice that you were able to talk WITH a doctor, instead of being treated the most doctors treat their patients! Looks to be good news that you likely don’t have PD. Whatever it is, I’m sure you will soon figure it out, now that you have a couple of good doctors in your corner.

  2. Blogs are great, I think, for working things out. DB, I’m glad you had “the” appointment and that you found a bond with the specialist.

And I’m glad they saw the tics…that was important, in this case. I’m sure, now, finally, you will find out the cause.

  3. I can’t emphasize enough, Mary, how pleasantly surprised we both are that someone of Dr. Watts’ international reputation knows how to treat his patients like PEOPLE!

  4. You’re so right, Marion. I try to treat this blog very much as a conversation with myself and anyone else who cares to listen. Writing things down like this forces me to take a realistic look at all that has been happening and try to find accurate ways of describing my physical symptoms and my emotional state.

Even at that, though, Dr. Watts asked questions I just could not answer.

As for the tics and jerks??? He got an eye full!! LOL!!!

  5. I have always found that I am able to better express myself with the written word. You are right in that if forces you to take a realistic look at everything. It can be very theraputic.

  6. It’s certainly true for me, Mary. I like being able to choose just the right word for what I want to express. That’s why I don’t get involved in chat rooms!! I edit and edit until I’m satisfied not only with what I say, but the connotation of what I say. And I try very hard to finish with a positive attitude about anything I write – not always successful on that one, but I do try.

  7. I pray that this doctor puts a diagnosis in place so that you know exactly what you are dealing with.

Sounds like he is going to keep going until he does.

    Angels around you.
